A game of Scrabble

I've never been so lucky ever in Scrabble but this time is entirely different. Almost every of my turn, I have some words to play with. Normally 3-4 letter word but this time round I'm able to make words with more than 5 characters. The blast was the 7 letter word, never in my life I had all my 7 letter word all in the board. Waa ..so proud of myself. I might be looking back at this entry 10 years later and tell myself "Silly Girl" Oh well but that's the fun of it! hehe..

Long or Short

Chinese New Year is over, I’ve done a few things like settling some of my payments, collected my IC, check on travel information which I never get bored of but I’m bored that I still don’t have enough money to travel yet, learn some new things at work and YES cutting my fingernails.
The idea of having long manicured fingernails seems sexy and feminine to me. I think my mum had indirectly influenced me in keeping my nails long and I’m blessed to have nice fingernails :P. Mom has a bag which looked more like a candy bag where she throws all her bright colored nail polish in it. My nails are quite easily chipped which is somewhat irritating when I’m washing my own hair. Strands of hair will normally get in between the chipped nails and it will cause the nails to tear off. That’s when I have to cut my nails shorter and it looks kiddy and funny to me. But the convenient thing about having short nails are many, it’s easier for you when you do typing on your keyboard, sending text messages without scratching the screen and also using your fore finger to circulate and massage the eye cream around the eye area. Well, that’s just how convenient it is for me when having short fingernails.

Sickly Happy Ping

So after I came back from work, I slept for almost 3 days. I’m still recovering from the flu and my lungs infection. Thanks to my papa who knows acupuncture, I felt better. After the whole process of needle poking, you macam have more energy in your body, it's something difficult to explain unless to feel it yourself. Although I'm phsically challenged, I somehow feel happy. Happy to see when my papa smile, happy to see Ah Chuan's smile.. I have to leave out my Leo brother because he has been sleeping the whole day. The simplest thing does make me happy. Is this what they called true happiness? I think so.. Simple and pure. Enjoy what there is to enjoy, suffer what there is to suffer.

Gong Xi Fa Cai 2007

I’m back at work after a CNY long break. Now I’m feeling feverish again, DAMN! I’ve been very vulnerable these few months and I do not know why. Arghh .. I hate feeling this way because I don’t like the idea of getting too many MC in such a short duration of time but at the same time my body just couldn’t take it. Popped in 1 Panadol, hopefully to make myself feel better but it’s only 10am and office hours ends at 6pm. Great!

Well, have been busy running around relatives house for luncheons and dinners. Basically everyday but that’s the fun of it. Talk loud and laugh loud. Dunno why but it makes us feel closer, heheh.. I've tried my best to taste every cookie available on the table. Within 3 days I’ve gained 1kg leh! The putting on weight is after me working non stop for 6 hours as a maid at my house’s open house. Didn’t get a chance to sit for even 5 minutes which causes my legs to sore the next day but again it’s all worthwhile. Worthwhile of the warmthness of having a big family around and not putting on 1kg within 3 days.
Haven’t really catch up with my buddies except for our karaoke session yesterday but I guess it didn’t turn out to be as fun. So expensive leh for 3 plates of fruits and some light bites and it costs us RM123! And the direction to the karaoke was really bad and makes all of us walked in a maze. Not recommended for 1st timer. I am still looking forward what’s going to happen another next few days so I decided to GO BACK HOME now and rest.

CNY around the corner

I have too much in my mind that I didn’t know what to write about. For the past 1 month, I’ve been busy and not to mention lazy or maybe lack of inspiration. Been struggling to clear my debts and it was possible until I realized that I suppose to do my whole body checkup. That cost me a bomb with the treatments I’m receiving. But that’s alright, I still managed to put on a big smile. Our New Year resolution is to SMILE even though we are facing with adversities. Thanks for reminding me.

So there goes New Year and Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year is only 2 days away. Do I have the mood? Honestly not really yet although I’ve put some efforts in decorating my house. Chinese New Year is about gathering a lot of people, food and drinks, and also gambling. I guess by tomorrow, the festive mood in me will lighten up because CM’s house will officially opened for gambling from tomorrow night onwards. Can’t wait to listen to the sound of the fireworks…
But before that, I'm meeting up with a bunch of my ex colleagues tonight for karaoke session. Great company to hang out with, there's no camouflage but purely be yourself. They are not judgemental at all which I've learned from them that we have no right to determine that person is a ah beng or ah lian. Anyway, it's just pure fun with them.

Dinner with Pa

I had a quiet dinner with my pa, i've begin to realize he cares and love us a lot. Started to spent more time with him not just by sitting at home and to let him know my presence but talking to him more, do things together with him and listening to his complaints. Listening to him is not an easy task but I've learnt to be patience and listen with an open heart, to be more receiving too, think and consider his words. I noticed a huge improvement in our father daughter relationship and I will continue to work towards a better relationship.
There is a quote saying “If you want to change the environment, you yourself must change first”

Emotional Blackmail

I've heard this from a member when I attended our district Gakkai discussion meet and I think it's a cool word to describe everything below. This is one thing I find interesting and if you do encounter this or heard about it, appreciate you do leave your comments.

Emotional blackmail is relationship abuse motivated by a desire to hurt. An emotional blackmailer may claim good intentions, and a victim may perceive the abuse as normal.The use of emotions becomes harmful when they are used as threats to control or intimidate others. Emotional abuse includes excessive demands, punishment for normal behavior, discouraging expressions of attachment (love) or self-respect, and withholding affection or care. Emotionally charged threats and intimidation leaves their victims feeling helpless. Victims of emotional blackmail often give in, believing they have no other options. The damage caused by emotional abuse often manifests as dysfunctional relationship behavior.

The justification for emotional blackmail is often dependence - the abuser may be afraid to lose something important that the victim provides. An abuser may:

-> Withhold essential information
-> Contradict the victim's perspective
-> Disguise abuse as humor
-> Block the victim's goals
-> Install limiting beliefs
-> Trivialize thoughts and achievements
-> Make threats to increase power
-> Forget promises, agreements or previous discussions
-> Invalidate the victim's reality and perceptions
-> Express anger to release tension and feel powerful

Displeasure can be expressed in ways without using emotional blackmail. When rules and expectations are clear, the need for manipulation is lessened. When the authority structure is clear and just, they develop trust in the decisions that are made.

If you want to know the characteristic of a victim and an emotional blackmailer and also why is it necessary to stop emotional blackmailing -> Emotional Blackmail

Christmas Diary 06

I always forget what I do for Christmas. SO this year, I’ll record it down here.

On the 23rd,
We went to Pei Sze’s mini BBQ party, small but quality crowd. And we exchanged gifts like how we did when we were younger.

Then we went for our karaoke session, we were craving for it since last week. They had fun more than I do.
On the 24th,
We went dinner at Logen Haus. I think they served good food here but I would expect a little more on their ambience.
After dinner, we head up to Heritage Row to meet up with the rest. What else? Party ON…
On the 25th,
I found my present under the Christmas Tree.
We share lasagna for dinner.
We went to a friend’s house for Christmas party. He said BBQ but turn out it’s buffet. Got food here la but lasagna was good.
They wanted to watch movie. I suggested Ben Stiller’s latest movie and they said ok. Jacs Syndrome – Night at the Cinema. Rog said there’s one showing at 12. Happily we convoyed there and to know that it’s going to be release only on the 28th. What a big joke!
So we watched Barnyard.Favourite quote from the movie “ A strong man thinks for himself, A STRONGER MAN thinks for others”

Spa-nish

I got an invitation from my dear childhood friend for a day in the spa and this is the place that I wanted to go since last year but what I longed from the spa menu was really fcuking expensive (more than 1k) so I dropped that. Anyway, this time is an offer and obviously I accepted since I’m the chosen one. Although this will be the standard entry, I’ll still take it to experience what life is all about after working your ass out for the entire year.

Agenda for the Day

- If you are hungry, pick your food from the menu.

- Else, change and dip yourself in the hot Jacuzzi pool.
- Then, dip yourself into the 14c cold pool to close your pores. Kim says she can see my body all turn to red. Although it was only for that few sec inside the water but it's freakin cold and once you get out from it, I felt like an ice cracking due to the change of tempearature. This one is a must try! Shioking :)
- After this head on to steam room or sauna but their steam room is under maintenance. Boo hoo, I always prefer steam room.
- Moving on, get a hot shower with their lavender shower gel. Shampooed and conditioned my hair ( I put damm a lot of conditioner, hehe) My whole body smells so lavender…
- Mmm..hungree, went to the lounge and cuddle myself nicely with the blanket covered around me and asked for my food menu. If you already ate when you first came in, then this is will be your 2nd round. Quite a lot to pick from entrée, soups, snacks, main course, desserts and beverages.
- Then after makan you can sit back and smoke (free ciggies) or get a beer (limited 2 per person). For me, no smoking nor drinking, so I grabbed some mags available while watching the projected screen on the wall. You can choose plasma too.
- After awhile you can arrange your treatment service with the attendants available and I chose Shiatsu instead of aromathereaphy. So there I go, my first Shiatsu. Waa lau eh, I almost died suffocating when they stepped on my back. I lift up my hands, a sign to inform the masseuse ENOUGH!! Beside that, the rest of it was good. I like the hot and cold pack, very relaxing. Told my dad about how they step on my back, he HAAA, GIRL OR GUY? Me: (U think I go hanky panky???) But the fact is my dad was worried that if a guy step on my back, it would be too heavy and he said better don’t do that because might break my spinal cord. So I think no more Shiatsu for me.
- Now, back to the lounge and you know what you can do at the lounge ( food, ciggies & beverages)
- I chose to do my mani and pedi but manicurist only have the slot to either one for me. So only French Mani for me. Pssst, they have male manicurist which I think it’s sexy but too bad only for the men. If you want other service you can go for facial or go dip in the jaccuzzi again.
- After all that, LOUNGE AGAIN.
Imagine the number of times you can eat in a day. Really pushes you to the limit.
- Finally, if you are tired and bored of the holistic pampering, CHANGE AND GO BACK.

Thank you Kim

Poor Piggie Piggie

So sad that you need to undergo the pain from the stones, I thought of it all night to see what I can do to fight for your right, to prove that you are innocence. You did nothing wrong. My poor piggie..

Prosperity Ping

I’ve been pursuing something that I wasn’t able to see clearly for a long long time. Never imagine how unreal it is now. Never cross my mind that this would how the ending be. Many times at the last page of the story book, it would be ……………. And they lived happily ever after. Who wouldn't want every chapter of their life to be happily ever after but reality always bites.

This certainly has drenched me out in many ways but today I’ve learned. I’m surprised to see how strong I am, I thought I would crumble but no I didn’t. I’m happy instead.
I still have faith in you, The Gohonzon. Thank you

Rewind

Referring to the blog I posted 4 months ago, I said I completed my task for the next 3 months. I know this is 1 month late but at least I can still remember (giving reason to myself). I took out my diary and searched for the list I’ve written down 4 months ago. Flipped, flipped, and yeap there it is! A not so long winding page which I categorize into segments of my life. Look quite focus and structured and so I go through it one by one and remembering how I exactly felt at that moment when I wrote it. Little did I noticed time has just pass me by and I’ve forgotten what I supposed to achieve while some I still keep it in my mind. I’m happy for those which I have achieved while for those which haven’t, I’ll compile it together with my New Year resolution.

Zen'ish

I was seated and was served with some herbal tea, I couldn't figure out what was it. Not lavender nor ginger. Anyway, I took a few sip while waiting for my masseuse to attend me. She then came with a pot of water with flowers, herbs and oil. I took off my heels and rested my feet while they carefully scrub my feet to remove the dirt sticking on my feet. eee..I feel a bit ticklish but I controlled myself, not to show the jakun face la. She then lifted up my feet and so I slipped into the Balinese like sandals they prepared for me.
As I was walking my private room, the whole ambience was really tranquil with candles,grey round stones, fake orchids resting around the hallway plus the lighting was extremely dim which sets you to a real romantic, sensual and relaxing mood. Definitely not like those massage centers I went before. I like this.
When I entered the room, the bed was placed on the floor while the usual case is the stand up beds where you rest your face on the hollow. This room reminded me of Thailand. They do provide disposable G but I was lazy to change. Furthermore, I was already wearing one.
I lay there restlessly while waiting for my masseuse. The music playing at the background was really soft as I was trying hard to listen what they are playing. Can you imagine how quiet the place is? So she started with my left foot, I can feel her strength pressing on my toes. It was just alright, I don’t feel any bit of tickle like how I felt earlier. Moving on, she went to my legs, my thighs, my buttocks, my hands, shoulder and then I turned to the front so she can repeat the same thing. I won't spare the details of how the way she rubbed her hands and fingers against my body. With the right amount of oil and the momentum she was going, I was so relaxed and comfortable with her skills. I trusted her not to make me feel any pain or discomfort, basically I surrender myself to her. And I felt asleep for the first time of all the massage I went. She was really really good. When I opened my eyes, it was already towards the end of the session. She asked do I want a face and head massage and I nodded. So she didn't messed up my hair or my eyes because I still had my eyeliner on. Unlike those I went, they make me look more like a real panda (my dark circles was already bad).
Damm! Kiki was good and so she was tipped for her good service.
I will be back KiKi :)

About The Smile

So I decided to write about this and stopover at J's blog. Ironically, I had the same thought about "The Smile" too.

J quote "The hypothetical question is that why we are able to smile to the world at any time but its just so difficult to do that at home with the ones that meant the most?"

And Su Lee & love was also having this conversation.

Here we are, 3 ppl from 3 different continents (America, Europe, Asia) sharing the same thoughts about "The Smile"

Lim-Jiusm

When the alcohol level goes beyond your limit;

1. You puke, puke, puke and puke.
2. You talk like a smooth operator.
3. Or you talk like a philosopher.
4. The world is beautiful.
5. Suddenly your motto in life is honesty is the best policy.
6. Your anger management is well handled and you smile a lot.
7. You get lots of number that you don’t even know the next morn’ you wake up.
8. You go MIA. You’ll find Mr Lim sleeping in his car while his friends are frantically searching hi and lo for him.
9. You look for a couch/chair/stool or whatever platform that you can sit and be quiet. That’s when we kinda appreciate Nonee’s presence.
10. You throw one of your sandals outside the garden, and then the other, throw the Corona bottles and pull the garden spotlight off. Yes, Mr SG, we couldn’t find your sandals and we walked back with you barefooted. Thanks for telling me what a drunkard master is. Hats Off!!
11. You snore extremely loud as if you lose control of the normal pattern of your breathing. It makes sense when my aunt tells me she lives in the zoo at night.
12. You last very long, definitely more than you always perform. Don’t you all Agree ;)
13. You sleep within seconds after the session. Sucks la!
14. And you said I love you baby! There you go Sweetooth!
15. Tongued a hot chick.

What else??

Hottest Hunk Malaysia 2006

I reached there at 9pm, the show has just started. Damm, I was going in circle for about 20 minutes to look for a parking space and I don’t want to miss an inch of it. And so we decided to park beside a car and wanted to write a note and say sorry to block your way, please call me. But we couldn’t find any paper or pen. So Ms Tong found a pencil but we can’t see the tip of the lid. So she broke it into 2 and took out the lid. Then she tears of the KFC cheesy wedges paper storage we bought earlier for dinner. And I wrote like a 3 year old kid, and then she said she wanted to try. As she was writing, we heard someone unlock their car! Waa, just nice, throw away the pencil, the lid, the paper.

The time is already 9.40pm. Quickly, we rushed to the venue and that place was really packed!! Luckily it was not his turn yet. So we watched a few contestants until he came out. He said he was practicing hard in the gym these few days, well I can see the muscles show off than the normal days. WOO, we gave our best cheers to him. He did his Kung Fu stunt which scores really well. Everyone was cheering out loud.

Next was the fashion show while waiting for the judges to produce the results. Ya, there were a few cute hunks J slurping. Finally the much awaited time for him, after months of training and photo shooting session, 30 of them stand on the stage waiting for the 12 names to be called. Each of them, one by one, the emcee made us called their number. Yaa Paat Hou (28)!!!!! Guess his heart must be pumping real fast. After calling out 8 names, 4 more names to go. I was like how come his number is not out yet. And then, his picture was projected on the screen. Yes!! No 28!! He GOT IT!!

Retarded Connection

It’s somewhat frustrating when I want to publish my blog so bad but the ever sucky not stable internet connection is not allowing me to do so. It is just beyond my control in this situation. Eee, I don’t like this. It’s already after 3pm and the internet connection is still not up yet. What time do I need to wait until?

I can feel the pain near my tailbone due to the number of hours sitting in front of the laptop reading outdated emails, replying and forwarding some work emails and was on a quality call with Pat. The chat was invigorating but now my mood dampens a bit because I still cannot get my free pass for tonight much anticipating event. Thanks for being the last minute person Ah Ping! I’ve called a number of people to help me through this, thank you thank you. The rain and thunder outside makes me sleepy and my colleague is playing some Chinese instrumental song, woo that really helps.

Ooh finally, you called and you managed to get the free passes for me. YAY!! Muah muah!!

So one thing is solved, now back to the retarded internet connection again.

[publishing this from home, 24hours after I actually wrote the above]

I feel gooood, da da da da da…

Yes I’m in the mood to boogey woogey.
I woke up very early today compared to Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thurs. While I was driving to work, the radio was playing my kind of music for my kind of mood. Don’t care those driver next to me was noticing me grooving along the way to the rhythm but I do feel good. Came in the office, give a quick buzz to Ms Tong and she sounded as excited as my mood today when I said wanna go check out some HOT MEN tonight?? That clicked right away.

2 HOT CINDERELLA CHICKS are out on their hunt
P/S: But the dress code is RED, erm how to look like Cinderella
[Wrote this on a Friday morning at work, but due to retarded internet connection I need to publish this from home]

Here I Am

Echoes, thunders, loads of &^$%#(@, the various sound effect. With my hands resting on the table while I'm typing this, I can feel the vibration on the table transmitted by the sound of the speaker sitting right beside me.

I tried to be part of the crowd but my fingers are tired trying my best to manoeuvre the car with the keyboard. Yes, you need a lot of concentration in front of the screen. I hardly blinked my eyes, just to make sure I finish the race but I didn't finished for the past 5 games (3 laps for each game). Call it no talent or ya you can call me Loser!
Here I am, totally alienated from all the people sitting in this room. And my eyes are tired and filled with tears. Not only that I didn't get sleep well last night, but I've been sleeping early for the past few nights so it’s like my body has been tuned to turn off at a particular time. Thank goodness, it’s a non smoking room.

So do I spoil it all by saying “Hey, I'm kinda tired, are we ready to leave?” or just being Miss Accommodative and still give your best smile at the end of the day?
